Happy Martin Luther King Jr Day!
I had fun “piecing” this card together for you today! I love using scraps of paper on my cards – it makes me feel very thrifty.
Amber at Verve Stamps came up with this great sketch and I thought it would fit perfectly with these Ippity Stamps. I also incorporated the Ippity Challenge to use red, white and blue. It’s a vintage-y color scheme for this card, but I like the worn aged feel to it. I used Distress Inks to stamp with, so it matched really well to the paper.
Can you believe that I used 3, yes three, Ippity sets on this card? They’re all on the ticket! The more we build the Ippity Stamp line, the more interchangeability I find!

Hello Ippity and Unity friends! Welcome to the hop if you started here! If you hopped from another blog, glad you stopped by!
I’ve seen many heart cards coming out already so I was inspired to join in using one of the original Ippity releases, Straight from the Heart. It is a super cute set and has a gorgeous heart tree image. It’s a great size and has detail for coloring in or to leave as is. You know that a rubber stamp is classic when you can do that!
For this one, I did color it in with Copic markers in various shades of red. Such a pretty combo!

I’ve got a card here for you with some heat embossing for the main image. I love to emboss! The trick is not to overheat it. Watch for the shiny surface to appear then move along to another part of the image that looks matte. Embossing powder with glitter in it tends to be challenging as you’ll probably smell the glitter heating up before the powder is melted. It’s definitely possible as seen on this card, but do take care when working with the image.
