Announcement!

Unity has decided to not use Ippity Chicks to sell Ippity any longer, so once the stamps are marked "OUT OF STOCK", I won't be able to restock them. Thank you for your interest and purchases!!

IPK-115

I wanted to do a simple card with the color combination from Play Date Cafe, the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping and of course Ippity!

IPK-115

This set is IPK-115 Love in Return – nice and simple to match the card style. The swirl is heat embossed then outlined with a Copic marker BV02.

Have a great day!

Hello to Monday and this week’s hippity hoppers!

Have you ever layered ink colors on a card? It’s a neat technique that gives depth to your stamped images. You can stamp in a light and dark tone, 2 lights, 2 darks or even more than 2 ink colors! The possibilities are pretty open.

Think of all the colors that are in patterned papers today – like I have in my sample below. There are 3 colors: light blue, red and pink. I used 2 similar ink colors when stamping, one light and one dark. If you’re using this combination, the lighter color can be used as a shadow color, background or just as an accent. Open your mind, it really is fun and gets you using more ink pads that you may otherwise have sitting around!

Ranger has a great color strategy in their Adirondack colors. There are lights, brights and earth tones which all complement each other, especially if you want to stay with monochromatics. Fun indeed!

Happy Friday hoppers!

Yea! A long weekend for me, how about you? It’s President’s Day on Monday and I’ll be crafting!!! Woohoo!

I have a rather simple card for you today created with blues and greens. The Periphery Collection from BasicGrey was always a favorite of mine, so I pulled it out for this card to meet a Color Throwdown challenge. This card would be easy to duplicate for a pretty gift set for someone or yourself!
